WILD INTENSE – Take your Safari or Tour With Trained Local Nature Guides and Directly Support the Communities.

WILD INTENSE may not appear so deferent from all other local tour operators over the internet because we all nearly use the same marketing material. We all use similar keywords for internet marketing which brings about similar ranking in search engines. We photography the same animals, and if some business can not photograph them, they will buy them, so we use the same animals’ photos.

Our strength lies in the prime points that we pay attention to and regularly monitor, and this is how we have been able to register tours and reliable recommendation. Most of our clients have been communicated to by friends and family who have travelled with us. Word of mouth has done us most magic, and this is because our local guides have led outstanding professional quality trips. Excellent guides and not compromising quality for price constitute significantly to our credits.

We do cover the same locations as other operators, but our attention to details and circuit planning is significantly different and unique. This is the only unbeatable part of the competition. WILD INTENSE guides have mastered the skill of being part of nature; when you become part of something, you start to think and perform like, and also respect. This is absolute mastery of nature.

Before our very considerate team came up with WILD INTENSE to offer unique Eastern Gorillas trekking tours and typical African Safaris, they concentrated on the very demanding AVIAN SAFARIS. At AVIAN SAFARIS, we do exclusive birding tours, but while out there observing birds, everything requires attention. For example; a guide has to know what they eat, which trees they love to feed and roost and where they go at what time of the day or year. This kind of skill requires much patience; therefore, some of our clients insisted we would deliver great safari experiences for no bird watchers too. Their non-birding friends and family were WILD INTENSE’S first clients.

Our guides clearly understand the difference between a mammal and nature safari from a birding tour. So for travellers that travel with WILD INTENSE and would love to know a little about birds, they always have that advantage, but the guides tend to keep it to mammals not to bore non-birders.

We believe a professional tour guide is a prime ingredient for any safari; our guides are chosen very carefully from local communities and on merit. They are personable, knowledgeable men and women with impressive academic and professional backgrounds. They have all the skills to conduct an extended tour, professionally and to make sure every individual has a great time.

They have gone through nature and tour guiding pieces of training that have been arranged by local authorities and credible guiding associations. They belong to local umbrella associations like Uganda Safari Guides Association (USAGA).

Our Knowledgeable guides fluently speak English, and there is hardly a question they will not answer. They are linguistic and have the gift to mingle with locals in their areas of expertise quickly. This is ideal in remote Africa where communication can cause significant challenges in case of emergencies.

Great experiences require hours of preparation. Therefore while designing Itineraries, we focus on individual or group needs. We provide skilled handling of all the technical and logistical details: securing the accurate understanding of your individual or group needs and interests.

WILD INTENSE  is a fully registered company and bonded tour operator, so you can be sure that all payments made to us in advance of your tour are protected. It might be not very easy to let you know how important it is to book your tours with a reliable company. It may cost a bit more, but a financial failure that leaves you with a severe problem is far less likely.

We are such a credible tour operator company in the country; this is evident from our strong ties with the original stakeholders in Uganda’s tourism industry. Not only are we corporate members of Nature Uganda (NU)- a branch of the East Africa Natural History Society (EANHS) in Uganda which is the oldest conservation organisation in East Africa, Uganda Safari Guides Association (USAGA)- The umbrella association of guides and guides clubs in Uganda, Uganda Bird Guides Club, Uganda Cultural Guides Club, but also in good books with Uganda Wildlife Authority, Uganda Tourism Board among others.

Our Off-the-shelf tours of up to eight individuals only will bread a quality tour since better communication is guaranteed, and there are higher chances of seeing wildlife. We emphasise a vehicle window-seat policy for every participant on tour. Our small groups’ system allows us to achieve that.

We operate with a variety of hotels which have been carefully selected on merit and frequently checked to ensure they meet our rigorous standards. We also consider their commitment to sustainable tourism through conservation efforts. Location, our selection also reflects our personal preference for places with character where the owners and managers like to engage with their guests.

We have contracts with a significant number of Tented Camps, Hotels and Lodges; this means we can pass on substantial savings to our clients and also guarantees us the control to ensure the content and quality of your stay is of high class.

We have full time 4×4 vehicles, suitable for a variety of road conditions and game drives with ‘pop-up’ tops to maximise birding and game viewing even in the savannah amidst the predators that that travellers tend to favour.

We like to keep participants in a single-vehicle. So, if we have a group of seven, we can run the tour in an extended safari modified 4×4 land cruiser or van. For groups more than that and not exceeding ten, we use the COSTA or ROSA (4X4 busses). All high clearance vehicles with clear sliding windows for wildlife viewing and photography. This way, participants have the comfort of easily seeing wildlife during drives.

All vehicles have seat belts, reclining seats and for the comfort of all passengers, have a ‘no smoking’ policy.

We aim at establishing ourselves as a niche player in the private sector of Uganda tourism as well as the East African region at large. By organising trips that give our guests the best travel experiences in the target areas, and continuously focus on the needs of the premium class tourists, we will provide the best value propositions in the market we serve.

Internally we intend to create and nurture a healthy, exuberant, respectful, and enjoyable environment, in which our employees are fairly compensated and encouraged to respect the clients and the quality of the service we intend to provide. Also, follow-up will be mandatory to ensure client satisfaction and make any improvements as recommended by the clients for a better future. We seek fair and responsible profit, enough to keep the company financially healthy for the short and long term and to reward our employees fairly.

We exist to provide a valuable service to our clients, a rewarding opportunity for our employees, and profitability to our shareholders. We believe that success in this endeavour depends on our employees. Satisfied employees lead to happy clients, which leads to pleased shareholders. To achieve this, we enable our employees to act with an entrepreneurial spirit, and we value those willing to take responsibility for their actions.

We treat employees like family, which fosters intimacy, informality, healthy relationships, caring attitudes, and it makes work more fun. We treat employees with respect, which encourages them to treat each other and every client with respect.

We want our clients to experience a legendary service that makes a lasting impression. Providing exceptional value to clients requires hard work and concentration. Hard work is most effective when processes are simple. Simplicity reduces costs and speeds processes. We believe in doing things right the first time, therefore do not cut corners.

We take pride in our efforts as well as the rewards. Throughout this endeavour, safety will be the over-riding force behind any decision. On our tours, our clients will travel in security and confidence, with professional and personable tour guides. Through their commentary, they should be able to have an in-depth look at the tour activities and the country with its people.
